Docker remove container completely

Sometimes running docker rm ... does not remove a 'volume' that is associated with this container. It is especially noticeable when running large images, like MongoDB (that requires about 3GB or reserved disk space).

To completely remove a container, use -v flag, like this docker rm -v ....

Here is paragraph from docker help rm:

-v, --volumes=false    Remove the volumes associated with the container
